木場の保育室増築 Kiba Childcare Annex
園庭の一部を読み替え、既存園舎と接続する少人数保育室を増築した計画。 A compact nursery annex connected to an existing school building, planned by re-reading part of the playground.

既存園舎の運営を継続しながら保育室を増やす必要があり、園庭面積と日照条件の バランスを精密に見直すことから設計を始めた。増築部分は単なる教室の追加ではなく、 靴の履き替え、着替え、午睡、屋外への出入りが無理なく連なるように、寸法と収納を 細かく調整している。
平面計画では、既存園舎との接続部に小さな共有前室を設け、保育の単位が増えても 運営負荷が過剰にならないことを目指した。室内は柔らかく区切りつつ、家具と建具の 高さを抑えることで、保育者の視線が抜ける環境をつくっている。
The project began with a careful balance between increasing nursery capacity and maintaining adequate outdoor space and daylight. The annex is not simply an extra classroom: storage, changing, nap space, and direct access to outside were dimensioned together so the daily operation would remain smooth.
A small shared anteroom was introduced at the connection to the existing building so that an additional teaching unit would not place too much pressure on staff circulation. Interior partitions remain soft and low, helping visibility and continuity across the room.
